Team History

�� Real Olympico started with a couple of the players wanting to play soccer. There were three original players not included in the picture. These were Yoni Leal, Jorge Alvarez, and Juan "Polo" Bonilla. Yoni quit for his personal reasons, and Jorge was kicked off, although I don't think he cared much. Polo is still cosidered part of the team because he never really left. He was forced to stop playing because he had an unfortinute accident. He tore his Menischis on his knee and had to undergo surgery. He came out okay but had to go to therapy and is out for four months.
�� Our first season went really bad. We lost every game we had. Although we did improve throughout the season, we didn't improve enough. Our first game we lost eight to zero, then our last game we lost two to one. We became contenders. This season we started off strong. We have been on a winning streak. Our first game back we were down three to zero at half time. Everyone's spirits were down, but some how, we manage to tie. Then there was a last minute goal by Bryan which won the game and Real Olympico received their first ever win. The week after that, we were winning one to zero then they managed to score an equilizing goal and the game ended in a draw.
�� Ever since then, we have been on a winning streak. Since we picked up a couple of new guys, we have been having some problems within the team. Because they already know each other, they rather play the ball with only themselves. We have had a team meeting where we dicussed our problems with them and they did the same. We are now all on the same page and were are all tying to better ourselves for the team's own good. We have been through hard times, but it seems to be getting better.
�� In the beginning, we wore some uniforms that consisted of all purple shirts, with black shorts and socks. Then, after fundraising, we were able to purchase ourselves some nice uniforms. At first, we were so bad off that we would sometimes have our own coach play with us because we did not have enough people show up. Sometimes we would start games without all eleven players, hoping that some others would show up. We struggled through our first season, in the end, we are laughing last.
